Hello, I'm Sophia Hunter (Watts), an artist based in South West London with a passion for creating intricate digital artworks infused with traditional textures. Drawing inspiration from travel, nature, storytelling, and history, my diverse portfolio reflects my love for animals and the natural world. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I strive to keep my ideas fresh and ever-evolving, ensuring each piece carries a unique touch.
Having been longlisted for the Folio Society Book Competition and winning contests like the Stratford Literary Festival Book Cover Prize and Northern Opera Group competitions, I have established myself as an illustrator. With a background in publishing design and a degree in Illustration from Leeds Arts University, I bring a wealth of experience to each project. Clients appreciate my attention to detail, knack for unraveling complex narratives, and the refined execution of my illustrations. Growing up drawing characters from National Geographic magazines and favourite movies, I have always been captivated by animals and nature. Whether I\'m sketching in Tokyo cafes or finding inspiration in the jungles of Costa Rica, I cherish the small moments and details that enrich my art. When not immersed in my creative pursuits, you can find me walking my Australian Labradoodle, Roo, with my wife, enjoying cozy moments with friends, or indulging in some crocheting. I pour my love for storytelling and visual expression into every piece, ensuring a personal touch in each creation.
